The redevelopment of the Corn Exchange will breathe fresh life into the historic building. There will be 10 modern trading units on the ground floor, a multi-use seating area on the mezzanine and a flexible space in the central area which will be used for pop-up markets and entertainment. 

Visitors can look forward to browsing through art shows, enjoying champion boxing matches, savouring rum festivals and hunting for hidden gems at record fairs.

Every type of fish imaginable: swordfish, shark and eel sits alongside old favourites like cod, haddock and mackerel. The shellfish offer is second to none, with mussels and oysters from Cornwall to the Shetlands.

In 2022 the Fish Market won "Best Small Food Market" presented by The National Association of British Markets.

There are 8 butchers'/delis', 3 cafes and a noodle bar which is very popular; as well as a cheese stall and traditional Greek stall.

Most of our traders have been with us some time and have thriving businesses. 

Traditional market offer, with independent market traders. Goose Hill has a mixture of retail: toy stall, pet food, upholsterers and a cobbler.

The Outdoor Market has fruit and veg stalls, clothing, shoes, florist and a cafe which proves to be a popular spot in the summer months.

We also hold an antiques market selling second hand and vintage goods every Wednesday between 8am and 2pm.
